Nallan Chakravarthy Madhav was born to Dr. N.C. Rangacharyulu, a prominent vocalist and Smt. Mangathayaru in Kodad, Nalgonda district, Andhra Pradesh. Hailing from the reputed Nallan Chakravarthy family, which is deeply rooted in Carnatic Music, Madhav started learning Violin from his paternal uncle Sri. N.C. Srinivasa Iyengar. He then had his advanced training under the guidance of Sangita Sahitya Kalanidhi Sri. N.Ch. Krishnamacharyulu. 

At the young age of 9, he gave his first performance at Razole, which won him much appreciation. He holds a degree in science and a diploma in Music (Violin) from Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh. He served as a Staff artist, Violin (A- grade), at All India Radio, Vishakapatnam, from 1995 till 2005. Presently, he is a Staff artist in All India Radio, Tiruchirappalli.

 A Violinist par excellence, he has been accompanying many leading musicians and also giving solo performances. Over the years, NC Madhav has widely performed in major music festivals and reputed Sabhas all over the country.  

Toured U.A.E for special thematic Veena-Venu-Violin concerts.

Accompanied many legends and young promising artists in their vocal and instrumental concerts.
