Madhumitha Doraiswamy  has been learning Carnatic music for the past 12 years. She is under the tutelage of Vidushi Geetha Raja, Vidushi Padmini Ravi and Vidushi Amritha Murali.

She has participated in many prestigious contests and won many awards and  prizes.

First  Runner Up In 'SANGEET YAATRA' (Juniors) Season - 2, an  International  Carnatic
Music Reality  Show  Conducted  by World  Music Conservatory in association with  Sankara TV.

In 2016

The 'SWARNALAKSHMI  AWARD' from GIRI FINE ARTS - Sannathiyil Sangeetham.

Selected as  one among the  top five voices of the future  'FIVE FOR THE FUTURE' a Carnatic Music Concert Competition Conducted by TAG Corporation, Karnatic Music Forum and  Sruthi  Magazine.

In 2015

The 'YUVASRI KALA BHARATHI' from Bharathi Yuva Kendra.

The 'Best Vocalist' from Sathya Srinivasan  Charitable Trust and Cultural Academy.

Madhumitha has also won many prizes from competitions conducted by The Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, Mylapore  Fine  Arts, Indian Fine Arts, and Chennai Fine Arts

She has performed in prestigious Sabhas of Chennai  like Narada  Gana Sabha,Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha, Brahma Gana Sabha, Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Karthik Fine Arts, Chrompet  Cultural Academy etc; and Doordarshan Podhigai.

Madhumitha is currently pursuing her second year of B.Tech in NIT, Tiruchirappalli.
