He hails from Alankode, a remote village in Malappuram. He was initiated into violin lessons by his uncle, his mentor, a violin teacher, Shri Surendran Alankode. Now under the expert guidance of renowned violinist from Chennai, Smt, A Kanyakumari.

The first prize winner V.S. Gokul but stood apart with the way he rendered Swara Raga Sudha.., a gem in Sankarabharanam from the Tyagaraja Kriti.  bagged the first prize with an A grade with the confidence he gained from over 100 concerts.
