Dr. Ramya Suresh, a young dynamic bharatanatyam dancer, who is also a medical doctor. Her formal training in Bharatanatyam started in Dubai when she was just over 4 years old under Smt. Deepa Ganesh and Smt. Annapurna Murali. She underwent rigorous training learning finer aspects under Guru (Late) Nagamani Srinivasa Rao and had her arangetram at the age of 8. Ramya continues her passion under Guru B Bhanumati and Smt. Sheela Chandrasekhar in Bangalore. She is also mentored by Smt. Indira Kadambi.

A “Visharad” degree holder in Bharatanatyam from Akhila Bharatiya Gandharv Mahavidyalaya, she is a recipient of the coveted CCRT, Ministry of culture scholarship for Young Artiste in the field of Bharatanatyam. She has performed widely in many platforms across India. She received Best Performer Award from Parthasarathy Swami Sabha, Chennai in their 2018 Dance festival. A Solo dance production “Athigiri Mahatmiyam” conceptualized and choreographed by her was staged in the 752nd birth anniversary celebration of Swami Vedanta Desikan in Srirangam in Oct 2019. She performed in ‘Ilamayil Thiramai’ Dance Series 2020 of Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai. She is known for her graceful stage presence, and enthralling equal prowess in Nritta, Nritya and Abhinaya.
