Smt. Prema Hariharan is a versatile performer who has had a successful career as a teacher, vocal artiste, composer, poet and conductor for the past 50 years. Her academic qualifications include a BA and MA in Tamil language and literature. It was her passion for music, which resulted in success at an early stage, and since then Ms Hariharan has rendered several vocal recordings with prestigious music labels in the industry. She was only 15 years when her first concert war aired on AIR (All India Radio). Having performed on radio, television (Doordarshan), in sabhas and temples, Ms Hariharan has vast experience and expertise in the field of Carnatic Music. She has also had the privilege of singing at the Sangeet Natak Sammelans and Maharaja Swati Tirunal Festivals.
