Vandana is a highly talented musician of AP. She learnt vocal from the renowned Manda Sudharani, and is a B-High grade artist of AIR. She has performed at Chennai, in addition to all over Andhra Pradesh. She has won several awards and prizes, such as Sri LSRK Award, the first prize in the National RTP Festival, the Young Musician Talent Award and the Dhurvasula Bhagavanula Gold Medal. She is also a recepient of the Merit Scholarship from the Ministry of Tourism.

She has a PG in Music and a diploma in vocal from the Andhra University, Vizag. She is currently working in the S V College of Music and Dance, Tirupati, as a vocal lecturer. Two of her cassettes, namely Sri Rama Taranga - Balakanda (2 volumes) and Kalyana Gopalam, were recently released.
