Jyothi, a seasoned musician, performs Carnatic Classical music vocal and violin. Initiated into music by her mother, Smt. Neeraja AchutaRao, she received encouragement from her parents to pursue her passion for music.

Jyothi has given Carnatic music performances all over India, London and Switzerland. Her performances have been broadcast in radio and television for the past 25 years. As a vocalist, Jyothi is noted for her mellifluous voice, clear diction and easy rendition of both traditional and semi-classical music.  On the violin, Jyothi gave her first violin performance at the age of 16 and has to her credit, the experience of accompanying several senior artistes, as well as giving solo and jugalbandi performances.
