Sanjay Nag is a budding carnatic vocalist, hails from a family of musicians. He is the grandson of late Vidushi Kamakshi Balasubramanyam, vocalist and veena artiste and also the grandson of Karnataka kalashree late vidwan venkatadri Sharma,a gamaka exponent. He was initiated into music by his mother. He has continued his advanced learning under the tutelage of Karnataka kalashree vidwan Dr K Varadarangan. He is also learning mridangam from layakala pratibhamanVidwan T S Chandrashekar.
